Results come from Google PageSpeed Insights API with Lighthouse — comparable to testing in PageSpeed Insights directly.
A speed test runs your page through Lighthouse in a controlled lab environment. Google throttles CPU and network differently for mobile vs. desktop, then scores performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO.
Google simulates a mid-tier mobile device and slower network for mobile tests. Desktop uses a faster profile. Always check both — a site that feels fast on your laptop may still score poorly on phones.
The performance score (0–100) weighs metrics like First Contentful Paint, Speed Index, Largest Contentful Paint, Total Blocking Time, and Cumulative Layout Shift. Scores above 90 are considered good in Lighthouse.
This tool shows lab data from a fresh Lighthouse run. Real-user Core Web Vitals in Search Console or Chrome UX Report can differ because they reflect actual visitors, devices, and networks.
