What this service does
opengraph-check.com is a free tool that fetches publicly available HTML from URLs you submit and displays Open Graph and meta tag information. No account or sign-up is required.
Data we process
When you scan a URL, we process the URL you enter and fetch the corresponding web page to analyze its meta tags. Our hosting provider may also process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and request time in server logs for security and operation of the service.
Purpose and legal basis
We process this data to provide the scanning tool you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to ensure the secure, reliable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Storage and retention
Submitted URLs are used to perform the scan and are not stored in a user profile. Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for operation and security, then deleted or anonymized according to our hosting provider's practices.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If you change the color theme, your preference may be stored locally in your browser (local storage) to remember your choice.
Third parties
When you scan a URL, our servers retrieve content from the website you specify. That request is sent to the third-party site you choose. We do not sell personal data.
